The Sunny Slope Organic Farm’s CSA brings our farm and Members together as shared stakeholders in the success of sustainable, locally grown food production. Share Members have the joy of knowing how, when, and where their food is produced. As Members you are connected with and participate in local agricultural cycles by eating seasonally and sustainable.
Each week for 13 weeks you receive a share (box) of as much variety and quantity as conditions allow. By purchasing a share from our CSA your food dollar is going directly to the people who plant, tend and harvest your food. You are supporting organic growing methods that protect soil resources and water quality and assure you of the most healthful, nutritious produce possible.
What’s not to love?
This summer we will grow a wide variety of organic herbs, edible flowers and vegetables. The herbs include: French Tarragon, Rosemary, Dill, English and Lemon Thyme, Doublemint, Peppermint, Greek Oregano, Cilantro, Basil, Curly Parsley, Dill, and Berggarten and Purple Sage.
The vegetables include: Radishes, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Beets, Kohlrabi, Carrots, Beans, Peas, Leeks, Onion, Garlic, Lettuce, Spinach, Arugula, Chard, Mustard Greens, Zucchini, Squash, Potatoes and Fennel.
We will be distributing the shares at our farm which is located on north Douglas Island, just past Eaglecrest. In special circumstances, we may be willing to work with individuals who are interested in trading labor in lieu of a portion of their CSA subscription costs. If you are interested in joining our CSA this summer, please fill out the form below.
Volunteer Work Days: We encourage all CSA members to get involved at Sunny Slope Farm by volunteering as a way for you to strengthen your
connection to the farm! Whether cultivating and planting in the raised beds or assisting with one of our public events, there is something for everyone! We will share available volunteer opportunities in the weekly Farm Notes.
